The (Hopefully) Lucid Blogger

I'm a writer, an aspiring PhD student, a Mac enthusiast, and a coffee fanatic. I have a Bachelor's degree in communication, and I could still kick myself for stopping about six credit hours short of a degree in theatre. I have a Master's degree in religion, and aspire to complete a PhD in interdisciplinary studies, because I think our culture is way too compartmentalized and credentialed. I'm opinionated, but I intentionally avoid politics here. I have a strong faith, and I love discussing theology and spirituality. I write and do theatre for the same reasons: I don't know how to not do either. Believe it or not, I've made my living in the behavioral sciences for nearly 10 years.

I have no clue what I want to be when I grow up, and refuse to accept that I already have grown up. I'm learning to not plan life too carefully, because it has a way of turning out differently than anticipated...
